Rules of Engagement

  1. A walk through of the event with a Catbird Representative, Caterer and the client should happen 30 days prior to the event to assist in coordinating the details of the event. 
  2. Rental of equipment (tables, chairs, linens, tableware, etc.,) will be coordinated by the Caterer.  Drop off/pick up times must be approved by The Catbird before scheduling with the Supplier (rental company).  The Caterer will be responsible for packing and returning all rented materials to the Supplier.  In some instances, arrangements may be made in advance for removal of rental items at a later time.  In these cases, rental items must be stacked in one location for pick-up.   Approval in writing must be obtained by the Caterer from The Catbird.  The Catbird will not be liable for items that are not returned to the Suppliers.  All rental items should be
  3. No deliveries will be accepted prior to the actual event date. 
  4. The agreed event time will include 2 hours of set up time prior, and 1 hour of clean up time after the event.  Caterer will inform all their personnel that they may not be on the premises prior to or after the time referenced unless prior arrangements have been made.
  5. Caterer must provide a copy of the banquet event order (BEO) outlining attendance numbers, food and non-alcoholic beverage choices, placement of buffet or serving stations, at least one week prior to the event.  This BEO should include what, if any, of the Catbird tables, chairs and equipment will be required.
  6. The Caterer should work with the client on their Audio Visual needs and which Catbird can supply a list of recommended vendors, if needed. 
  7. The Caterer may bring food prepared to serve, ready to finish or may prepare raw product in a temporary location on the rooftop deck or outdoor ground level.  Two weeks prior to the event the Caterer needs to supply a list of cooking equipment they will be utilizing and confirm the space for production is available.  All food preparation areas will require plastic tarps on the floor.   
  8. No property of Owner shall be removed no furniture or fixtures moved without the permission of and supervision from a Catbird representative.
  9. Smoking is not permitted inside, on the event space or around The Catbird.
  10. Nothing is to be taped, stapled, nailed, or otherwise attached to the walls, floors of ceilings of The Catbird event space. 
  11. The Catbird has been designed to provide adequate power sources for a variety of functions.  Numerous outlets are located throughout the building and event space.  Any special electrical power requirements must be approved in advance of the event by The Catbird.  Caterer should provide their own extension cords, as necessary. 
  12. Denver Fire Department code requires ALL CANDLES TO BE ENCIRCLED IN GLASS.  Drip-Less and votive candles are recommended.
  13. No propane or other flammable liquids will be allowed inside the building. 
  14. Caterer is responsible for cleanup.  Caterer shall not leave the Catbird until the event is over and the rules of engagement have been adhered to. 
  15. Trash will be removed from the event space and deposited in the trash receptacles.
  16. No grease or oil will be disposed at The Catbird.  Caterer is responsible of disposing oil and grease offsite.  There is a $2,000 fine for oil or grease being disposed in the drains, sinks, trash, dumpster, etc. 
  17. Caterer will check in and out with a Catbird representative.  A checklist will be used at the completion of the event whereby the Catbird will confirm that policies and procedures have been followed and satisfied.
