The National Western Stock Show returns to Denver with its beloved Opening Parade, a one-of-a-kind kickoff celebration that transforms downtown into a scene straight out of the Old West. Beginning at Union Station and continuing down 17th Street, this annual tradition features a Texas-longhorn cattle drive, horseback riders, Western wagons, marching bands, and local dignitaries — all showcasing Colorado’s rich agricultural heritage.
The parade is free and open to the public, making it one of the most anticipated community celebrations of the season. Arrive early to secure a great viewing spot, take in the lively atmosphere, and enjoy the start of Stock Show festivities right in the heart of the city.
